T-Minus 19 hours and counting

My anxiety level is at about a 9 out of 10 right now: I keep asking Brian for a paper bag to breathe into.  I feel pretty ready and extremely unprepared at the same time.
For the last few hours, I have walked around the house probably 47 times just to look at everything and mentally note the things that we have to do, before abruptly turning around and walking to another spot full of stuff waiting to be moved, packed or thrown out.  The overwhelming feelings from packing, leaving the house, cats, friends, family and nice cushy American amenities are making it hard to get my tasks accomplished.
For the past few weeks, we have been busy packing up all 'personal items' from the house and moving it all into one room upstairs, as well as gathering things for the drive out/back and the most important part: packing and preparing for the actual adventure.  The house is looking good; actually, better than I've seen it in years.  Purging unwanted and unused items that just clutter this place is refreshing and a little liberating.
Tomorrow we head out.  Tomorrow, already!  After two years of planning, we are actually going to do it.  We will drive away tomorrow after saying 'ciao for now' to the cats, and will not return for at least 6 months.  I have never been away from home for this long except to go to college, where I made a new home.  This time, my home will be on my back all day and wherever I lay it at night.
We will route from Detroit to Chicago for the night, then rise early to get to Denver as soon as possible to stay with another friend.  From there, through Salt Lake City and Reno to California, where we can finally slow down a little.  Then it's on to Rancho Cucamunga, to drop the car and get a ride to the Mexican Border to officially begin The Great Walk.
